Mission/Vision (why we are here)

Helping people discover and devote their lives to Jesus Christ.

Strategy (how we do it)

Praise Center exists to worship and glorify God; advancing His kingdom by renewing our hearts through prayer, promoting relationships, reaching the young generation, and releasing the power of the Holy Spirit through our lives.

Core Values (what we value)

Relationship with God

Our relationship with God develops as we are devoted to worship, prayer, fasting and giving. (Col 3:15-17; Mt 6:1-18; 1 Ti 2:1-4)

Are you a worshipper in all you do? Do you pray daily? Do you pray with others? Do you fast regularly?  Do you give sacrificially?

Biblical Foundation

Practical teaching that empowers us to live Godly lives. We teach the word in ways that are relevant.  (2 Ti 3:10-17)

Is your life built on the word of God? Are you in God’s word daily?

making disciples

We help people, wherever they are, to find salvation through Christ and train them to be prepared with knowledge and competence to do what Jesus did. (Mt 28:19-20; 1 Pt 2:9-12; Jn 14:12)

Who are you helping find the Savior and grow in their faith?  Are you looking for opportunities to be trained?

holy spirit power

We value the power of the Holy Spirit who enables us to live holy lives and do great things through spiritual gifts.  (Acts 1:4-8, 2:1-4; 1 Cor 12:1-11)

Have you been baptized in the Spirit and are you living the Spirit empowered life?

next generation

We are always reaching the young generation and propelling them into God’s plan for their lives. (Lk 18:15-17; Dt 6:5-7; Ps 145:3-4)

Are you investing in the life of children and youth and young adults?

desire for excellence

We will give our very best for the Lord and to others. (2 Cor 8:7; Phil 4:8-9; 1 Cor 10:31)

Are you striving for excellence in your life?

Developing Relationships

We are a church family growing in our love for one another through time spent in fellowship, friendship and sharing meals. (Acts 2:42-47; Heb 13:1-2)

Are you in some kind of group promoting fellowship and accountability?

Love in Action

We show the compassionate love of Jesus to others in practical ways by serving, giving and caring. (1 Jn 4:7-12; Matt 25:34-40)

In what ways do you love people by serving in the church, community and world?

A Little History...

In early 2000, God placed it upon the hearts of Pastors Sal and Rhonda DiMare to start a new church in the Wenatchee Valley. The goal for this church was to help people to discover, and fully devote their lives to Jesus Christ and so Praise Center was begun. In March of that same year, a handful of people – fifteen in all – met for three weeks at Cedar's Inn Motel in a conference room to plan how we might start a church. Excitement was building quickly, and we decided to start with our first public service on the first weekend of April. We secured the use of the Grant Elementary School Gymnasium and one other classroom. The huge gym seemed to swallow up our tiny congregation, but we worshiped intently to fill the room.

As fall approached, we were made aware of a building that would become our first home. The building was originally built as a real estate office and presented some challenges to make it into a sanctuary, classrooms and an office. From the very first Sunday in the new facility, attendance began to rise.

The church continued to be blessed with steady growth and in November of 2002, we began having two services on Sunday mornings to accommodate the people that wanted to come. Later we would add a third and then a fourth service.

In the spring of 2008 we were able to purchase a much larger, older church building in Wenatchee on Mission Street which became our new home. After extensive remodeling we began having services at our Wenatchee location in October of 2008. In early 2011, we began a multi-campus approach to ministry which led to the planting of a new church in East Wenatchee in the summer of 2012.

Going forward it is our hope that we would bring glory to Jesus Christ in our community. Our thanks go out to all who have worked so hard with us; laboring in prayer, in ministry, in giving and in worshiping together with us. Above all, our thanksgiving is raised to our King Jesus whose kingdom we are seeking, whose heart we are finding, and whose praises we are proclaiming.
